Lauren B. Davis is a sole practitioner in New York City specializing in the music industry. Her practice includes negotiating and drafting agreements as well as securing record and publishing deals for her clients. Ms. Davis represents artists, songwriters, producer and independent labels in all areas of music both in the United States and abroad.
Before starting her own law practice, Professor Davis was a Senior Associate with the Law Office of Steven Massarsky, who counted the Allman Brothers, the Psychedelic Furs and Aerosmith among his clients. While at Gottlieb Schiff Bomser & Sendroff, she worked on matters for clients such as the estate of Betty Davis, Ron Carter, Billy Taylor and Jack Dejhonette, among others. Prof. Davis is a graduate of New York University and received her JD degree from Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law at Yeshiva University. |
