Bill Harris


Bill Harris is Vice President of Production Services responsible for overseeing production for both the A&E Television Network and The History Channel. A&E Television Networks is a joint venture of the Hearst Corporation, Disney/ABC and NBC. The company is comprised of A&E Network, The History Channel, A&E New Media, The History Channel International, History Television Network Productions {H-TV} and A&E Monthly magazine.

Previously, Mr. Harris has served as Director of Documentary Programming at A&E, overseeing production of the network's award-winning series Biography and Biography: This Week. In 1995. BIOGRAPHY received the Cable ACE Creators Award for quality programming, and in 1994, the Cable ACE for Best Documentary Series. Mr. Harris joined A&E in 1993 as Manager of Documentary Programming. Prior to that, he served as Emmy Award Winning Producer of Special Projects at ABC, NBC, and CBS in Atlana, Philadelphia and Boston. He also served as News Director for the PBS station at the University of New Hampshire.
