Professor Edward B. Kurpis

Edward B. Kurpis is the Vice President of Finance and Administration at NBC in New York, where he is responsible for the Network's many investments in cable television, interactive media and other business development initiatives. Professor Kurpis is credited with being the co-founder and co-developer of CNBC, the world-wide business channel broadcasting globally to over 100 million homes, and displayed as an instrumental role in the launch of MSNBC, NBC News' 24 hour cable news network with the Microsoft Corporation.

Professor Kurpis serves on the Board Of Directors on a number of prominent cable television networks including Arts and Entertainment (A&E), the History Channel and Court TV. He holds a B.A., and an M.B.A. in Finance from the University of Michigan.
